DF Consultancy Services Limited (‘DFCS’), one of Zircon’s subsidiaries, has, on the 31 January 2020, appointed Mr Robert Ancilleri to sit as Non-Executive Independent Director on its Board. The appointment has also been approved by the Malta Financial Services Authority. With a plethora of achievements in the sector under his belt, Robert has amassed considerable experience making him the ideal candidate to serve as director within DFCS.
Mr Ancilleri, who has recently set up his private practice in accounting, business and regulatory advisory services, holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (honours) degree from the University of Malta and is a Certified Public Accountant with a practising Certificate in Auditing.
Prior to moving into banking in 2003, Robert worked in audit and business advisory at MSD & Co. and Ernst & Young. He was later responsible for finance at Banif Bank (Malta) p.l.c. and Volksbank Malta Group where he occupied senior management positions. Robert then served as Chief Accounting officer at HSBC Bank Malta Plc. up to July 2018. He also serves as a member of the Supervisory Council of a locally based foundation. Robert sits on the board of directors of Busy Bee Finance Plc and Horizon Finance Plc (another subsidiary of Zircon), both listed on the Prospects MTF.
